At the graduate studies level, scholarships are offered by Université de Montréal, by several government and para-government agencies as well as by companies and private foundations.
As an international student, you may obtain financial support in the form of scholarships offered by UdeM and by various Quebec, Canadian and international agencies. International students are also entitled to the scholarships granted by the Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies except for those dedicated to Canadian applicants.
It is highly recommended that you refer to the scholarship list, published annually by the Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. On this list, you will find several scholarships appropriate for your needs. You can also apply to obtain an additional fee waiver.

Merit Scholarship Programs for International Students (PBEEE)
The « Fonds de recherche québécois sur la nature et la technologie » (FRQNT) is responsible of the Merit Scholarship programs for International students (PBEEE) on behalf of the Ministry of Education, Leisure and Sports (MELS). These scholarships are granted to international students and researchers who have been preselected by a Quebec university and who wish to start or pursue studies or research activities in the Province of Quebec.
