Admission Process
Students apply online.
- Complete an application form by February 1 for summer and/or fall sessions or by September 1 for winter sessions. After these deadlines, a number of programs continue to accept applications (especially for the fall session). Check with the academic unit concerned.
- International students have to wait several months before obtaining a study visa and have to complete all the formalities involved in their stay in Quebec. The application may be postponed to the following session if GPS determines that the study visa will not be obtained in time.
- Students who need help understanding French terms and completing the admission form can download this bilingual document (French, English).
- A variety of online and in-class French courses are available at UdeM for students wishing to improve their French language skills. For more information, visit the Programme intensif de francisation universitaire (PIFU) website.
- Pay admission fees.
- Provide the required documents. See the procedure for uploading these documents on the Admission website.
- File review: The file is reviewed by the academic unit.
- Answer: The student receives an offer of admission or a rejection notice by e-mail via his or her Centre étudiant.
